Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

The Senior Developer will serve as a Product Information Management (PIM) Techno-Functional Expert, and will design, develop (code), test, and debug applications; provide experienced Ready-to-Serve and development subject matter expertise; maintain, enhance and provide solutions for software applications; and provide development leadership in a functional area, module, or project.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Lead development activities for a functional area, module, or project

Provide and document technical design and specifications meeting business and functional requirements;

Develop (code), implement and maintain tools/applications. Ensure applications and systems possess sufficient controls;

Perform unit testing prior to moving code/configuration to the QA process;

Evaluate and research upgrades, patches and new functionality;

Research defects and solve for root cause in applications;

Assist in the development and definition of test plans and scripts for performance, regression and user acceptance test plans; support QA activities as required;

Build and maintain templates, rules, style sheets, workflows, data extractions and imports, interfaces, and object models;

Analyze applications for compliance with security protocols;

Train team members on areas of expertise;

Participate in and lead peer reviews;

Perform Product Information Strategy;

Coordinate with key stakeholders to develop the vision for product information management;

Perform Data Workflow;

Provide guidance, coordination and hands-on assistance to data owners and governance team;

Perform Catalog Management: Maintain and enhance custom catalog; and

Perform Data Management over all data governance on the system, i. e. auditing, editing, reviewing, approving, organizing, structuring.

Nature and Scope

Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the results expected. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field plus 5 years of work experience in offered or similar position building and maintaining a Product Information Management (PIM) or Master Data Management (MDM) platform such as Enterworks, SAP MDM, SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Stibo Systems.

Will also accept Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field plus 3 years of experience in offered or similar position building and maintaining a PIM or MDM platform such as Enterworks, SAP MDM, SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Stibo Systems. Stated experience must also include work with data analysis, data modeling, data quality, data integration and technical configuration, as well as building integrations to and from platforms and supporting the creation and maintenance of Product Taxonomy, Web Hierarchies, Digital Assets, Attributes and integration of data with ecommerce Web platform.

Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master’s (An applicant may qualify by presenting an academic evaluation stating that s/he has attained the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field).

Up to 10% domestic travel required.
